AirAsia Advises Customers To Check Status Online To Avoid Inconveniences

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 (Bernama) -- Low-cost carrier AirAsia advises its customers to check their flight statuses online before departing for the airport to avoid inconveniences because of flight delays due to bay closures at klia2. AirAsia in a statement Monday said a number of AirAsia and AirAsia X flights are facing slight delays ranging from 10 minutes to 45 minutes daily due to the nine bay closures at klia2.

"Guests are strongly encouraged to check their flight statuses online at the website, www.airasia.com before departing for the airport. Guests can also receive real-time updates on AirAsia by following the airline's Twitter (twitter.com/AirAsia) and Facebook (facebook.com/AirAsia) accounts," it said.

AirAsia said according to Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, the bays from K2 to K18 at klia2 were closed since July 31 as a safety precaution to allow Kuala Lumpur Aviation Fuelling System to perform a thorough check. It said both AirAsia and AirAsia X are working closely with the airport authority to minimise any inconvenience to its guests, who make up at least 92 per cent of total traffic at klia2.
