Bandung Popular Among Malaysian Tourists
TEMPO Interactive, Kuala Lumpur: Despite increasing trends in other tourist destinations, Bandung remains a favourite among Malaysian tourists spending their holidays in Indonesia. As such was evident during a tourism exhibition or MATTA 2013 held by Malaysian Travel Agents Association Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur on March 15-17.
“So far Bandung is still a main destination for Malaysian tourists with a percentage of more than 30 percent”, said ASEAN tourism promotion deputy-director Chrismiastutie met by Tempo during the closing ceremony on Sunday, March 17.
In addition to Bandung, tourists from Malaysia are also eyeing other destinations “such as Bali, Yogyakarta, Medan and other destinations in Sumatra”, said Chrismiastutie.
